Buying a battery for your solar system can feel confusing. There are too many options, too many brands, and too many people telling you different things. This guide explains it in simple steps.

Step 1: Find out how much power you need

Make a list of everything you want to run on battery — lights, fans, fridge, TV, AC. Add up the watts. A standard Pakistani home with 2 fans, 5 LED lights, and a fridge uses around 300 watts. Add an inverter AC, and it jumps to 1,500 watts.

Step 2: Decide how many hours of backup

Most customers want 3 to 6 hours of backup for load-shedding. A 5kWh battery will run a normal home for 4 to 6 hours. A 10kWh battery will run it for 8 to 10 hours.

If you live in an area with 4-hour load-shedding, a 48V / 100Ah battery is the sweet spot. Reliable, affordable, and lasts 10+ years.

Step 3: Pick the right chemistry

We only sell LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. Why? Because they are safe in hot weather, last 6,000+ cycles (around 15 years of daily use), and don't catch fire like cheap batteries from the market.

Our recommendations

  • Small home: 48V / 100Ah pack (5kWh) — runs lights, fans, fridge for 6 hours
  • Medium home with 1 AC: 48V / 200Ah pack (10kWh) — runs everything including inverter AC for 6 hours
  • Large home or shop: 48V / 280Ah pack (14kWh) — full backup with solar charging
Tip
Don't buy the cheapest battery on the market. A good battery lasts 15 years. A cheap one dies in 2 years — and you pay twice.

Step 4: Make sure you get original cells

There is a lot of fake and low-quality lithium in the Pakistani market. Always ask for EVE, CATL, or REPT cells. These are the top three Chinese factories — and yes, they make what goes into Tesla and BYD cars. Every cell we sell has a factory QR code that you can check.
